Science Returns to Paradise

$7,250 of $10,000 goal

My name is Marc Kessler, I am a science teacher at Paradise Intermediate school. My students from the fire affected areas of Paradise and Magalia, California. Over 90% of my students' homes were destroyed by fire and their school is badly damaged and unusable at this time.  Even before the fires, many of my students struggled with poverty and homelessness, for them, school is a refuge... it's a place to get a good meal,  encouragement and a warm smile. And it's a place where they can learn, strive toward success and feel in control of their lives.

Our school is now in a temporary location and Chico, Ca and we need science equipment that is no longer available to us due to devastating camp fire.  We will use these funds to purchase scientific equipment such as: microscopes, test tubes, prepared slides, lab tables, scales, thermometers, hand lenses, and engineering kits.
