School supplies for less priviledged kids

A friend of mine is a new teacher, starting her grade two class at Maple Grove school in Lachine. Despite the amount of school taxes we pay, schools still do not provide students with classroom supplies. Most teachers send home lists of materials that students should bring to class, including notebooks, pencils, scissors, glue, paper, etc. In an area such as that of Maple Grove, most families do not have the resources to provide these materials. In fact, they rarely have these items at home to do homework, if required.

I'd like to help out.

I'm looking for small donations of $5 to $10 to purchase classroom books and supplies. I will be buying these supplies and delivering them before Sept 25, 2019.  Don't worry if you can't help - this is going to happen anyway! If you can, wonderful! You will have made someone smile.
