School Lunch Debt Relief for LC Elementary Kids

No child should wonder when they will get a warm meal.  No child should have to worry about overdue lunch debt at their elementary school. No child should have to watch their parents stress over whether to pay the heat bill or the past due school lunch tab. Unfortunately,  this is the struggle facing many households across the nation. Kids should be able to learn and play without thinking about these things. I recently learned that many families in my hometown are facing these struggles. In Little Canada, MN, the town where I grew up, the town where most of my family still lives, there are families that struggle to buy lunch for their children.  In fact, the overdue lunch debt at Little Canada Elementary School is currently $2,000.  Learning that the school where I spent my childhood has that many families struggling to keep lunch tabs current just broke my heart. I am hoping that we can all chip in to lift at least one small burden from their shoulders by paying off the past due balances on all lunch tabs at Little Canada Elementary School by the end of the year.  Let's give the gift of a fresh start for the New Year!
