Scarfel Pike for Mental Health

Hi, firstly thank you for taking the time to read why am I am doing a sponsored charity event! It is for mental health, specifically Hopeward Park (Alderdale Ward), in Ryhope, Sunderland.
As many of you know, mental health holds a very special place in my heart and my family's too. Mental health effects people in different ways and it also has a massive effect on the families of those that are left to deal with it as well, which puts stress on their relationships.
On this particular ward that I am raising money for, some of the Men and Women that are on there are not as fortunate to have any family or friends that help support them through hard times and are basically left to fend for themselves.
On Saturday 28th July 2018 i will be doing a sponsored walk up Scarfel Pike in the Lake District (the highest peak in England) then from there onto a bike ride.
This will start at Keswick onto Grange, Rosthwaite heading up Honister Pass (one of the highest / hardest climbs on a bike in Keswick) then heading into Buttermere going up another brutal climb of Newlands.
From there heading back down hill again to Braithwaite and finishing up at Keswick.
All in all approximately 18 mile of hard bike riding on top of that brutal climb before hand.
I have set myself a goal £1000 which will all go into the ward.
The money will be very well spent, examples being; activities for patients, trips to the seafront for lunches and to help people that are less fortunate with toiletries or in any other way possible .
