Dear Family and Friends,

During the early hours of January 1st, around 2:30 am, a tragic fatal roadside accident ensued near the Sam Houston Parkway feeder at West View resulting in the loss of the life of a caring pregnant mother, but a miraculous second chance for the life of her newborn child.

After suffering a traumatic brain injury, the mother was rushed in critical condition to the nearest emergency hospital.

Doctors performed an emergency surgery on the injured mother, but unfortunately, against all of their best efforts, this wasn’t enough. The mother of two would succumb to her injuries only a few hours after the accident.

Miraculously, the Doctors were able to save the 23 week old, one and a half pound newborn from certain demise. The newborn is currently under critical condition battling her injuries in the NICU.

Please join us. Together we can make a tremendous difference in Ellie's life and her future. With your support, we can raise the necessary funds in order to provide Ellie with the opportunity of a lifetime, a second chance. Your donations will award Ellie access to the necessary medical care that she requires as she battles through her injuries.

Additionally, the funds will allow the afflicted family the opportunity to conduct the proper burial arrangements for the deceased mother of two.

The 24-year-old mother is survived by her son (Tyler), and her new born daughter (Ellie).

If you’d like to take part in this noble cause, please place your donation at the top of the screen. God bless you. We appreciate your support.

Information about the incident can be viewed in the 'news link' below:

Update 6

Our family could not have asked for a greater blessing than Ellie Grace. When I am in the room with Ellie, I can feel the presence of God, and the power of prayer she has received. She is one little fighter!

Ellie Grace will endure many milestones as she continues her journey to recovery. One that is celebrated daily is her ability to gain weight, and to receive more breast milk. Ellie is consistently gaining weight and we get so excited over every once she gains!

This week, the doctors removed the IV that was giving her the extra nutrition her body requires because Ellie was taking her breast milk so well.

She continues to only require minimal oxygen and breathes well on her own.

I cannot thank you enough for all of the prayers and the support we have received. Each one of you has helped impact Ellie Grace’s life and you are truly making a difference.

Ellie Grace reached her birth weight yesterday afternoon. The donor breast milk is the "best medicine" she can receive. It gives her the nutrition she is lacking and helps her continuously gain weight.

Ellie was also ready to receive Kangaroo care today. This is when she gets skin to skin contact by being placed on our chest. Kangaroo care helps tremendously with her growth because she can feel our heart beat as she would in her mother's tummy.

It is amazing to see how much she changes in the matter of a day. We are very blessed to have Ellie Grace and she is blessed to have all of you.

God bless you!

Ellie Grace opened her right eye last night while my brother was telling her how much he loved her. Today she opened her left eye. Even though it was only for a second, this was a very special moment.

She is still having Brady's (where her heart rate drops), in order to counteract them, the nurses tap Ellie's legs; which reminds her to breathe.

Again, thank you so much for all the support. I will continue to share with you Ellie's progress.

God bless you!

I was able to gently cup our precious Ellie Grace today. The simple act of cupping her simulates the same environment of her mothers womb. You must keep your hands still in order to prevent overstimulation.

The Doctors decided that Ellie is ready for breast milk and began feeding yesterday. She is currently being fed through a tube, since she is too small and fragile to be fed through a bottle.

Our family is extremely grateful for your prayers and support.

I know she will do just fine with love, grace, and the hospital. One of my high school friends here in Missouri had complications and ended up having a baby born at 23 weeks. That was three years ago now.

Thank you to each one of you for supporting Ellie and sharing her story. Tyler met his baby sister yesterday and is so excited that she "popped" out of mommy. He is looking forward to his "big brother" status and was so amazed out how tiny she is. Please continue to pray, support, and share this story. Ellie and Tyler are counting on our dedication.
