Hello!
I'm Savina Barini, and I'm a junior studying to earn my BFA in musical theatre with a minor in playwriting at Howard University.

This fall, I've been given the opportunity to study acting with the British American Dramatic Academy through their semester long London Theatre Program.
The Program
This program not only includes in depth study of reading and performing Shakespeare, but also study in modern physical theatre, high comedy, and drama criticism, in addition to weekly theatre visits and acting masterclasses. Studying at BADA will allow me to take a number of classes not offered to me at Howard and would give me a unique opportunity to develop my acting in a focused conservatory setting.

The Expenses
Thankfully, my Capstone tuition scholarship from Howard and my Dpartment Special Talent award from the Department of Theatre Arts will be sent to BADA to cover my tuition costs. However, I would like to eat and live indoors during my semester abroad, and my scholarship also doesn't cover my books or airfare to and from London.
Housing is $5500 USD for the semester and international student insurance is $250, both due in August. BADA coordinators also advise budgeting around $2500 for meals, $1000 for books and supplies, and between $700 and $900 for airfare.
