Keep Culture & Main Alive For 2016

Culture & Main is a local television show that showcases the art scene in Pennsylvania. We try to give voice to the small and independent artists with incredible talent from every genre. Together, Jay and Carla, along with special friends like videographer Randy Flaum and "King of the Cigar Box Guitar", Shane Speal, seek out the most exciting artists and art stories and bring them to the people. We are history, culture and always, we are Pennsylvania. We are also about to be cancelled. A small city in dire straits has drastically cut the funding to White Rose Community TV, our parent studio. Unless we raise enough money to fund our own equipment and editing, the rest of Shane's strange instrument documentaries, the rest of the "Finding Pennsylvania" artist series (Finding Rachel was just the first!) and all our other great work won't happen. What your money goes to: paying a professional editor to edit each episode, which takes about 8-10 hours for every hour long episode, paying a camera crew to do off site shoots with at least 2 cameras for multiple angles, gas and occassional admittion prices to event. That's it. Everything else including the countless hours of promotion, production, reruiting acts and filming them is done by volunteers.
