Save The Site is a 501(c)3, whose mission, on March 6, 2017, changed forever. On that day, over 33,000 acres burned across 2 counties in a matter of hours. Homes were lost and and lives were changed forever. As friends and customers of my business (Pro Till) were directly affected, I realized the building and resources I had could be of immediate use to the community.

Only a year earlier, I had purchased a huge commercial, historic building on main street in Haxtun in the hopes of someday gifting it to Save The Site (STS). I immediately had a massive team of volunteers from the community, and we spread the word to direct all donations to the "Old Smith Hardware" building on Main. Haxtun's community rallied as if it were a million strong.  Over 1000 hours went into organizing donations from not only Logan and Phillips county but the entire United States. It's one of the most amazing things I've ever been a part of, EVER.

In this disaster, we learned that there is no stash of emergency items for any such disaster over these 6 rural counties whether it be a tornado, fire, or flood. As we redistributed non-essential items to other non-profits, STS worked with local emergency managers to keep and inventory an emergency stash of resources. In addition to victim resources, also availabe for dispatch are 10 Viaero phones, 2 internet devices, archaeological debris recovery tools, a fleet of drones and mapping programs to aide Emergency Management Teams.

So why is Save The Site here? With a down turn in the farm economy, my business, Pro Till, is losing some needed resources to continue paying for the building.

Please help me give this asset to Save The Site. We would like to continue providing these emergency resources for these 6 rural counties in Colorado: Logan, Washington, Yuma, Phillips, Sedgwick and Morgan.
I'll keep hitting the streets and adding to the overall total. There are over 74,000 people in these 6 counties; that's less than $1.00/person! We can do this folks! If you'd like to send a check rather than donate on-line, send your check right to Save The Site @

As the building was purchased for $95,000, STS already has $30,000 in donations off the street!
