SAVE THE KENAI RIVER BROWN BEARS

The Kenai River Brown Bears are a Tier II Junior Hockey Team in the North American Hockey League that is located in Soldotna, Alaska. Unfortunately, hockey in Alaska is rapidly disappearing. We have lost the Alaska Aces of the East Coast Hockey League and the college programs at the University of Alaska-Anchorage and University of Alaska-Fairbanks are at risk. We desperately need Junior hockey to remain in the state of Alaska and on the Kenai Peninsula! The Brown Bears players serve as  positive role models within the community, as they volunteer at many different locations including: The local Boys & Girls Club, schools, the Visitor Center, and help coach the youth hockey teams. The money raised with this go fund me page will be used to help support the Brown Bears as a team to move forward into the future. Junior hockey is greatly needed in this community. It provides safe and fun entertainment for all ages, brings the community together for a common cause, and again provides positive role models for our youth.  Any contribution counts and the Kenai Peninsula community and Brown Bear community will be forever thankful if their Brown Bears get the opportunity to stay and continue to represent small town hockey in Alaska.
