This is Maddis new fundraising page as her previous page with Just Giving ended and the funds were transferred to Sheffield University to support Gene Therapy research for Spastic Paraplegia Gene 15. All donations to this page will also go to Sheffield University to carry on funding for a cure against SPG15.
Maddi has been battling through this diagnosis since July 2016 while her walking is deteriorating quite quickly. She will carry on fighting until a cure is found.
Spastic Paraplegia Gene 15 is a progressive illness known to cause paralysis in all four limbs and also abnormalities on the brain, in addition it affects the peripheral nervous system, impairing vision and hearing. I have researched more to find out about this awful disease and also know it can cause serious breathing and choking problems aswell as juvenile parkinsons.
Please can you help by donating, we can't just give up when she has been given a chance of a possible cure. Maddi deserves a chance of having to live her life without being disabilities and having no quality of life due to this awful disease.
