Help Save NLEC

Help save New Life Evangelistic Center, which is the last major walk-in shelter for the homeless in Mid-America.

St. Louis developers plotting with St. Louis officials are trying to shut down New Life Evangelistic Center, which is a shelter for 200 homeless people at 1411 Locust Street in St. Louis, Missouri.  This must not happen.  There is no other major walk-in shelter for the homeless to go to in their time of crisis.

On Nov. 9, the city of St. Louis issued a cease and desist order for New Life Evangelistic Center's shelter on 1411 Locust Street. This must be appealed in 30 days.  $30,000 is needed immediately for the legal expenses for this appeal.

We can't imagine what would happen to the homeless who call New Life Evangelistic Center home this holiday season, if New Life were to close.

View or read the attached testimonies of homeless people who have been helped by New Life Evangelistic Center.
