Our fight has just begun. Join us.

The Federal government failed Canadians by approving a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility overtop of critical salmon habitat in the Skeena Estuary. The project would be the largest climate polluter in Canadian history.

The $11.4 billion facility would be built o the most important wild salmon habitat in Canada, a sandy eelgrass bed called Flora Bank where up to a billion juvenile salmon spend time every year before they go out to sea. Scientists, First Nations leaders, and conservationists have clearly stated this facility, backed by Malaysia’s state oil company Petronas, poses a grave threat to salmon.

But those who have long opposed the project – calling the Skeena estuary the “worst possible place” for an export facility – have vowed to take this fight to the next level.  Aboriginal groups and SkeenaWild have been preparing to launch a series of legal actions, and are prepared to go all the way. The Skeena Corridor Nations, a powerful group of hereditary leaders from Gitanyow, Lax Kw’alaams, Wet’suwet’en, Gitxsan, Takla, Lake Babine and Haida, are exploring all political and legal options for protecting the Skeena for the long-term.

This will be expensive and we cannot do it without YOU.

PLEASE HELP PROTECT SKEENA SALMON BY DONATING TODAY. 100% of funds raised will be used to support multiple legal actions against the project.
