Help make this organization something so large our national government will see and realize we need help now and action tomorrow will be too late.

How will your donations "HELP SAVE LAKE ST. CLAIR"

Money donated will go towards a massive clean-up effort by removing the toxic waste muck along our shoreline, all around our lake. These toxic muck mats harbor beyond dangerous levels of e-coli and are killing the lakes entire eco system, endangering those who swim in or near our shoreline including our beaches. Our government refuses to accept that this is their responsibility and refuses to remove by dredge.

Money donated will go towards additional measures that will help create a better system to monitor our drinking water and monitor our water near our shoreline, especially at our beaches and polpular places boaters like to anchor off at enjoy the beauty of Lake St. Clair. Our government continues to only test for the same stuff they have been testing for....what about the harmful chemicals and toxins they do not test for including microcystin that might be in our lake at our shorelines and beaches. Can you believe that our governement only has one test site across the entire lake dedicated to same day real time testing. That location is at Lake St. Clair Metro Park (Metro Beach). Every other beach and park still utilizes the same old tests today. Today the lake water samples are taking out in a certain depth of water, (not directly at our shoreline) where our feet would hit the water and is usually or first point of contact with any E-Coli. Then the water collected would travel to a lab. The results usually take a day or two to arrive, only to publish them two or three days later than origianlly should of been published. The test's actually show that people should not have been in contact with the water three days ago. Thats a shame.

Money donated will go towards trying to restore the harvestor project and encourage the removal of weeds and plant growth that algae thrive on and spure growth and of course can cause entrapment of deadly toxins and entrapment of swimmers.

Money donated will go towards partnering up with other organizations out there that have new and unique ideas that would be able to help clean our enviroment.

Money donated will go towards raising awareness efforts of many of the issues that our government does not.

If you enjoy all the beauty and recreation that Lake St. Clair provides and want to protect that beauty please donate.  If you enjoy having a clean fresh and you can donate just one dollar, that's all the Save Lake St. Clair group asks of anyone who wants to clean and to protect it. Thank you for passing this message on to anyone who loves Lake St. Clair--the heart of the Great Lakes!

We are population that have this fresh body of water that other countries would only dream of having and we must protect it.  We as a society should treat our water just as we do our roads.  We know that every year after the rough winters and the salting of our roads they will need to be repairs done the following year to keep them safe and drivable and spend billions of dollars every year maintaining them. Our lake, in which 127 communities pull their drinking water from should be treated no differently and we must have a mandatory yearly maintenance plan in place to remove what toxins we can to ensure we have most importantly safe drinking water. We must have a yearly plan in place to ensure that we are not endangering the wildlife and further polluting the waters in which our fish swim in that we eventually fish and eat. We must continue to work to provide a sustainable clean fresh water lake that our future generations can not only enjoy but continue to live off of.  That is what our organization Save Lake St. Clair is about and we are asking everyone including our leadership in government who want change to join our efforts.
