Save Chance's Life, He's an Angel

Chance is a Husky mix found injured by neighbors on October 6, 2013. He had severe bleeding from his foot and we tried to bandage it as well as we could. He was taken to the vet in another county to get stitches. Today (10/10/13) he was taken to another vet because his foot was still bleeding and we were told that if the first vet had properly cleaned his foot and found the pellets from a gun-shot wound he would have not had such a bad infection. He now has a high chance of having his leg amputated because no matter how many times we cleaned and re-bandaged his foot it is still infected. We have no idea who is owner is and we have no way to pay for his medical bills. He is a sweet dog who deserves a second chance in life. He has bonded with our family and is getting the love and attention he despretly needs. He wandered house to house in our neighborhood trying to find help and when we got to him he was in terrible shape. we need help feeding him have an estimate of and the vets bills for future care. We have estimates for treatment and if needed, amputation. The vet today said that the skin on his foot is likely to slough off and amputation would be best for him. I am asking please help us take care of this dog. He is such an angel. He hasn't been cared for prior to us and his owner hasn't even come to look for him. A neighbor mentioned a dog being shot but didn't go into detail so we can't even prosecute the person responsible. The first vet didn't care much to do anything for him because he was a stray. We care and we want the best possible for him. All the shelters here are kill shelters and we can't fathom taking him there and I am afraid if we give him away he is not going to get better. He stays by my side and is so grateful for the help we have given him. It tears me apart not being able to pay for the care he neeeds. I can keep everyone that helps us updated daily with phone calls, emails, and pictures/videos. If you are an animal lover or you just have a big heart please help us. He has a high high chance of being put down and he deserves so much more then to be neglected, abused and left for dead. Please help us. We can use gauze, medical tape, and dog food or anything you deem nessacary to care for a sick puppy. Thank you!!!
