Save Casa Delicias!
A few months ago Casa Delicias was served legal papers over a customer who had experienced distress over faded handicap parking painted lines, creating a lawsuit asking for $10,000. A court hearing to settle the issue will not even happen until December of 2017 and the entire lawsuit process will end up costing well over $20-30,000. From this economy, to losing their son, and the family fighting a battle of agressive cancer in their own home, a blow like this is threatening to close Casa Delicias for good. Casa Delicias has done its absolute best to cater to everyone, and would never ever want to cause anyone harm, distress, or hardship. They are actively working to clear up and fix the parking spaces, and will continue to make any improvements necessary to ensure the safety of their customers. We are asking that the entire community join together to help settle this suit, giving the customer exactly what they are asking for, and keep Casa's doors open before the cost of the suit grows any further.
They have done so much for our community and I think giving back can be our ultimate way to say thank you! We have a goal of $11,000 to cover the lawsuit and GoFundMe fees. Adrian and Margarita haven't officially asked for help, but their children and family members wanted to find a way to help them, and through this account we believe together with the community we can achieve this! We want to say thank you to anyone who takes the time to spread the word and donate!

Thank you for making a difference, thank you for standing behind us, and thank you for letting us fight against the injustice! Keep sharing, donating, and liking #savecasadelicias !
Looked up a web site, you should look into this! www.adaabuse.com! These guys are legal scammers, this has been going on for years. They got the business I use to work at & many more around the valley. All they do is take a picture of your parking lot & file a law suit! Good luck, offer them taco's instead of money!
This saddens me to hear of this happening to especially wonderful honest hard working people! I pray the community comes together and quickly raises the funds for this dilemma and much more since much more is obviously needed in helping them with the other personal hard ships they may be up against! Casa Delicias has been around forever and they should be in our City of Hesperia's registry of Historical Landmarks designated places to commerate Casa's Delicias dedication & contribution to our community and more so for their historical significance in providing our community with outstanding excellent quality service for many years! Casa Delicias also signifies the way of life & culture for the high desert residence before Hesperia was even a city. Casa Delicias is one of our community's all-time favorite and little whole in the wall places where our community needs to all come all together to support them during this time! Again, I pray the our local community opens up their hearts to help keep Casa Delicias open!
This is a family business, one that works extremely hard to give excellent service to their customers and with a smile. All High Desert customers need to stand behind this small business. I have seen the same thing happen in the small towns of Norther California closing most of the small businesses they attack! Most of the time it attacks bathroom access in old buildings that were built before all the handicapped laws were implemented. Most of those came from one man who made his living going after small businesses, because they didn't have the money to fight them. We all understand and agree the handicapped need and have a right to access, but there is a loophole in the law that allows them to use this for personal gain. Something like this should be a code enforcement notice, and the business should have been given a chance to make it right. I know there are customers who would have come to the rescue and helped re-paint the parking lines. There are many people who love this place, and not just on dollar Tuesday. This place has a fallowing. People stand in line for extended lengths of time to get their food. Please everyone step up to the plate and stand up for what's right. Let them know you love their food and their business!,
I will be holding a fundraiser for Casa Delicias at the "Hot Rod Halloween" on Saturday, October 29th between 2pm & 5pm. The event will be at the Hesperia Civic Park (15833 Smoke Tree St). I will match any donations received (up to $1,000) for any donations made at my booth. Let join together and make a difference!-John Wales, Farmers Insurance
If you're going to beg for money from the public you should at least have the decency to be honest about it. The suit is asking for $4,000.00, not $10,000.00. Huge difference! I suspect the suit was filed as a last ditch effort in order for the business to become ADA compliant. After all you were made aware of the problem more than a year ago so you've had plenty of time to rectify it, you just chose not to. How sad that you think so little of the disabled community. It speaks volumes as to the type of business owners you are.
All one needs to do is look at the size of the Casa Delicias parking lot to realize what a frivolous lawsuit this is. There is more space between the closest parking space at Kmart, than even the farthest space from the entrance at Casa Delicias. Ridiculous. I wish them the best of luck.
I saw that on the News it crazy what he does. What does he need a perfect parking lot for is car to drive on I'm pretty sure he driven on worse other times. Lol or when he goes somewhere like an event and he has to park on the dirt that's not marked does he go an sue them also. So sorry to here.
I lived in the High Desert for 23 years and ate at Casa Delicias often. They have the most fantastic food, especially their pork tamales, carnitas tacos and carnitas nachos. A few years ago, I drove down to California for a visit and actually bought some tamales and a couple pounds of carnitas; transported in an Igloo and brought it home to the State of Washington (that is how good the food is). I would hate to see this place close over a "bogus" lawsuit.... grr
I took my donation in and handed it to them personally They have been around forever and part of most people's lives in the high desert very nice family been through a lot and this is stupid I'm so happy I see so many names of friends and family and neighbors and kids who went to school with their kids donating I love it keep it up we don't have much further to go we're over the hump
Call John and Ken at KFI. Make this farce (imho) go viral.
Ok forgive me Lord, but are you kidding me! I'm handicap, painted or not, I know exactly where that spot is but do I use it? No because it's not that far to walk into the place. You are in my prayers because I rate you the #1, for having the bestest food in the HD!! And I will continue to have my cheat days Sorry this had to happen to you, SMH..... God can do anything, yup. Love you all
