Save these Brittany Spaniels

$10,100 of $18,500 goal

Raised by 120 people in 46 months
In the past few weeks Brittany Rescue In Texas (BRIT) has been overwhelmed with rescued Brittanys who need immediate medical attention beyond normal vetting.

>>> Wendy is a malnourished senior Brittany with other health issues. <<<

Many of the beautiful Brittanys we bring in have special needs such as:
* Starvation
* Head and Eye injuries (gun shots)
* Cancer
* Heart worms
* Broken Bones
* Mange
* Pneumonia

BRIT is committed to helping ALL Texas Brittanys who have been rescued from:

* Abusive situations
* Neglectful situations
* Puppy Mills
* Shelters
* Abandoned Brittanys
* Owner surrenders

BRIT receives its funding from Adoption Fees which do not cover the cost of veterinary treatments, medications, surgeries, and surgical boarding. It is with YOUR help that BRIT can commit to bringing in these Brittanys no matter what their condition.

>>> Maxx is 11 years old and has pneumonia. <<<

>>> BeBee is an 8 year old female and has a grade 5 heart murmur.<<<

Pebbles - From Gunshot to Recovery

Read Pebbles full story here:

PEBBLES-16-from-Longview-injured-leg-7-12-16On July 12th our East Texas volunteer received a frantic notice from a shelter who had just admitted a young female Brittany who had a shattered leg and was bleeding profusely. The man who dropped her off at the shelter said she had been “hit by a car”. …Oh, really? Hit by a car you say?

The small East Texas shelter didn’t have the resources to get her vetted. Fortunately, in lieu of euthanasia they called BRIT’s East Texas volunteer who rushed the Brittany, who we are calling Pebbles, to her local vet for triage.

As it turns out Pebbles was NOT hit by a car, but SHOT in the leg. (Who would do such a thing???) As you can see on the attached x-ray, the bullet shattered her right tibia.

URGENT NEED - Elderly Brittany rescued from deplorable living conditions.

Message about "Bailey" from his rescuer:

"We heard Bailey's mournful cries and investigated a neighbor's backyard when we could get no one to come to the door.

What we saw horrified us and we called for help immediately.

Bailey was living in a crate in a back yard with no food or water in sight and his crate was full of his own feces. His eyes were sunken in his head because he is so thin.

My heart breaks to think this poor boy lived like that for who knows how long...neglected and forgotten."

BRIT has Bailey now and he is with our Vet being evaluated. All we know at this point is we think he is 12 years old, and possibly heartworm positive due to his living conditions.

Heartworm treatment alone costs between $300 and $400 dollars. Every donation will help BRIT restore Bailey to good health so he can be adopted and find a LOVING forever home. With an indoor bed! :)

URGENT! Please help us help 11 year old Smoke. He was found by a local shelter on July 5th. We think he was spooked by the fireworks and ran away. He needs immediate surgery. Every donation, no matter how small helps.
