Saving Ben's Eyesight
Donation protected
Ben is a wonderful, sound, 14yr old gelding that in his prime was one of the top ten Appaloosa jumpers in the United States. After retiring from jumping, his new career has been giving three lessons per week and going on trail rides with his owner. Ben is also a great EFL (Equine Facilited Learning) horse and loves to connect with people. Within the last several months he was diagnosed with Uveitis that requires medication 3 times per day. Uveitis is an eye disease that can cause blindness. The ophthalmologist believes he is a good candidate for implants in his eyes to reduce recurring inflammation and keep him from losing his sight. This surgery is expensive and difficult for his owner to afford. Ben is a willing partner and loves his life and job! Please help him to fulfill the rest of his life to the max!
