ARIA’S HEART JOURNEY

Donation protected

You could help save a little girl’s life today! Even if you only donate a dollar, it would help tremendously!

My cousin, Morgan Draffin served in the Military for several years for our country with no hesitation. He married his beautiful wife Sabrina and started a family in Germany. They now have two boys together James and Jackson. On June 1st, 2017 they were blessed with my beautiful survivor of a God-daughter, Aria!
On November 13th, 2017 Aria’s heart stopped beating while she was upset and crying in her carrier. Her grandfather realized it and immediately began CPR until the paramedics arrived. They were able to revive her, but baby Aria began seizing and was later admitted to a children’s hospital in Nuremberg, Germany.
While there the doctors discovered her heart was enlarged. Realizing her condition was very serious, they decided to transport her to a children’s hospital in Erlangen, Germany in hopes of aiding her more quickly.
Aria was sedated and intubated for a period of 5 days while several test were performed. She has been diagnosed with, Dialted Cardiomyopathy in her left ventricle.
She’s been in/out of ICU for 6 months now!
Recently in an effort to try to get her left ventricle to work harder she had a surgery performed called, Pulmonary Ateria banding, but it hasn’t helped. Today her left ventricle is only functioning at 9%. At this time, she’s receiving catecholamine to keep her stabilized. If she doesn’t improve she’ll be placed on a left ventricular assistance machine. The machine will function as her heart, but it’s very risky!
She’s in need of a heart transplant and has been on an urgency list in Germany since February 16th of this year. Her parents were told it could take up to 2 years for her to receive a heart there, but Aria doesn’t have 2 years to wait! Everyday she’s taking a risk without having this transplant. If Ari were to even get the slightest infection or cough it could become life threatening!
Le Bonheur has agreed to perform the surgery here in Memphis, TN, where Morgan happens to be from and the majority of his family still resides! The journey has begun to get Aria to the United States to get her a heart!!! The TP team is working with the family and German doctors to begin the process BUT we have to get Aria here first!!! The flight is not covered at all as she has to fly under very critical care with a lot of equipment and trained professionals. We’re hoping to have her here as soon as a heart becomes available.
Through everyone’s help and support we can do just that. This Go Fund Me page is one that if you donate you will in fact be a part of saving a life. If you can’t donate, pray!
Pray that Aria gets here safe with her family and a heart becomes available!
We’ve been told just the medical flight to/from would cost around $80,000 and that’s not including her hospital expenses, treatments, etc...
Our family would like to raise money to make this happen! Her parents are barely making it now due to everything that’s been happening this past 6 months and trying to still raise/provide for their 2 sons.
They only want what every other parent would if this were their child, to bring their baby home and for life to go back to normal!
Please find it in your heart today to help save baby Aria’s! Help give her a chance to live! She’s a strong, always smiling, beautiful little girl who deserves another day!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read her story and please share!
