Save our Jazz Festival
The Long Beach, NY Jazz Festival, with a little help from our friends, will be presenting its 16th annual 4-day musical event, in September, 2018. Fourteen sets of innovative, traditional, and international jazz performed by national and world reknown musicians bring standing room only crowds from the metropolitan area to our "City by the Sea."
This event is held at the Long Beach Public Library where admission is never charged. The Library donates its space, staff and partially subsidizes the festival but cannot carry the full weight of the production; and therefore we are seeking donations.
Funds raised from this campaign will be used, exclusively for performers and publicity. Administrative and related costs are provided by the Library and/or donated. We will need funding by early May. All donations will go to the Friends of the Long Beach, NY, Public Library; a tax-exempt organization.
In past years, crowds of over 3000 have enthusiastically embraced this festival and the community "buzz" starts months prior to the shows and lasts well after.
