Save the Labrachildren HQ

Donation protected

2nd March 2020 Update:  It is with great joy that I announce the Labrachildren HQ has been saved! In the eleventh hour a dear friend has stepped in to pay the CPS (I paid what we raised including this weekend’s funds and my friend paid the remaining balance this morning). This of course is a huge relief to satisfy the CPS, but this is a loan from my friend of which I still need to repay. Although it alleviates the threat of imprisonment and interest being added to the sum if unpaid by the due date, it still does not eradicate a debt that is owed. I know you all have empathized with me that the threat of detention played havoc with my mental health, which I’m so grateful is no longer hanging over me today! You have all pulled together and come so far with the fundraising… over 50k!!! WOW who’d ever thought that!? So for that, I am eternally grateful to each and every one of you who has contributed! ❤️However, I still need to keep raising funds to pay back my loan – anywhere near the target would be great because I would not be able to get a bank loan for the 100k+ (in addition to my existing mortgage). My biggest fear is not getting close to the target and letting everyone down. I wouldn’t feel right taking the money raised if we can’t truly save the LCHQ. With this, it means I will no longer need to apply for an extension, just extending the fundraising to try to get closer to the target. I hope this update give you relief and brings happiness. Thank you for EVERYTHING!! Billy, Humphrey, Emmy & I are extremely thankful to say the least. More fun(draisers) to come and merch launching soon should see us pump up towards the target. Remember, we as a community came together and have gotten this far…. we can continue to the finish line! Together we are stronger!

This is an incredibly difficult thing to write but so many of you have insisted I share because you would like to help...

Therefore I am putting my male pride to one side and telling a story I am deeply ashamed of. If I could turn back the clocks I would in an instant but life does not work that  way - like many of us I have learnt that the hard way.

12 years ago when I was young, carefree and bloody stupid I did something that would unknowingly change my life later on for the worse. I am now paying for that mistake.

As you may have seen from my insta stories I have until June 2nd 2020 to pay a debt of £151,270 - the alternative is a prison sentence of 28 months after which the debt would still be payable with interest charged on top (estimated at £1000 per month).

As you will have seen the only possible way to pay off this debt is to give up the labrachildren HQ to pay for that brief moment of stupidity. The labrachildren HQ is now listed for sale with an Estate Agent - It is heartbreaking.

To those wondering how this situation came about 12 years ago I want to be open and honest with you. I unwittingly agreed to transport a small bag from one location to another for a worthless fee. Within that bag I later found out was cash profited from illegal activity. I got tangled up in a huge mess.

So now after many years of uncertainty, I have been summoned to pay a debt of £151,270 which I can only afford if I sell the labrachildren HQ. Once again I really wasn’t going to share this publicly but many people that know my story have urged me to start a fundraiser so here we are.

Whilst there is absolutely no obligation to do so if you would like to help in anyway, shape or form I’d be really appreciative no matter how big or small your contribution is.

Just asking for help is hard enough but it’s for making the lives of the labrachildren better.

Long time followers of my page will know that I do not profit from Instagram. I see it as a full time job of passion and I do not work with any brands or products (despite countless offers). I give my heart and soul to running our page and I am so proud of the community we have built up together. Even if nothing comes of this fundraiser getting this off my chest to you is a relief.

Please note if we do not hit the target for the full amount the money will be used in one of the following ways:

1) To see if we might be able to remortgage the labrachildren HQ to raise enough funds

2) If the labrachildren HQ still needs to be sold after mortgage and Crown debt paid off funds raised would be put towards a smaller property purchase

Finally I want to apologise to anyone who may feel let down to be reading this. I am truly sorry to my followers and family.
Thank you for reading.

FAQs:

1 - Why is the target higher than the debt you mention?

Gofundme charge fees on donations and payments. Their fees are 2.9% on the full amount raised plus £0.25 per donation.

2 - What have you done to pay off the debt yourself?

The original debt was £187,770 - I have managed to pay off £36,500 myself and as you know I am now faced with selling the labrachildren HQ to fund the remaining debt
