Save the great snowy kitty!

So my girlfriend was on her way to work and apparently found this adorable fur ball on the side of the road. Definitely a broken paw, likely the whole leg. She works in the medical field and is a huge sucker for cats so of course the kitty got saved. Anyway, the vet is saying that she will likely need the leg amputated and that's expensive. Being that she's a stray I would have normally accepted that she got a rough deal and suggested the gf put her down. Thing is, my girlfriend just lost her cat of almost 10 years due to complications with diabetes and, I admit, the the Great Snowy Kitty is a total cuddle bug who just wants to be loved. 

A combination I cannot ignore.

The bill is piling up fast. She was found 3 hours ago as of this writing and the vet bill is already over 500 bucks. And that's just the screening and some pain meds. Expecting a lot more after surgery and she's gonna have a long recovery. I figure that 3k will definitely cover all medical expenses and everything either left over or, if people are that amazing, anything exceeding the goal will all go towards helping the Great Snowy Kitty be as comfortable as possible with his new family. Because she sure as hell won't ever be homeless again.
