Save The Brasslab
Now, even though it's the fault of the sales tax man, The Brasslab will be next favorite store to close unless we can raise enough money by April 15th. We need a minimum of $20,000 and then, $20,000 more in 6 months. I have actually paid all taxes collected from you. This is just the penalties and interest they feel entitled to collect. Of course, they are justifying themselves by claiming that they are taking care of you, and that we became the problem.
If you can help, we will be eternally grateful. No amount is too small. We value all of our customers and friends. We promise to continue the high level of service that you have grown to expect from us. Let's work together to save The Brasslab. I think you would agree that it would be a tragedy to lose it now.
Most of you have probably already heard, but in case you haven't, I'm letting you know that we are finally in the process of closing all of The Brasslab except for the online store. We will be adding more information and items to that store as we go forward. I tried very hard to find a way to join forces with another brass repair shop so that I could pass along all of the skills and information that I have gained over the many years of my career but I was unable to convince anyone that I could bring in more money than I would need in salary to do that. My fear is that my disappearance might just harm the entire industry, and worse than that, all of customers will have no where to go when they need the services that I used to provide. If you hear of anyone in the New York area that might want to make use of my services, whether it be bench work, training, consulting or anything in between, just let me know how to contact them.
Also, I want you all to know that the help that you already gave us, was not a waste of money. We were able to pay most of the taxes we owed and still owing half is a lot easier to pay then the entire amount. So, I have enormous gratitude for all of the funds that you provided us. I will leave the gofundme page open just in case some of you might still want to help us pay the rest of it.
I will update again some time in the future so you will know what is going on. You will still be able to reach me by email and telephone and I will be contacting you with the new information as soon as it is set up. Thanks so again so very much to all of you who helped us now and to those of you who I have had the pleasure to work on your horns and projects. And getting to know you was the best part. This is not good bye.
Chuck and the "Brass Lab" have been an institution during my career as a professional musician. There are not many NYC brass players who have not benefited from his skill & expertise over the past 30 years. I'm unaware of what lead to this immediate need, but I'm very sorry to see a friend experience these problems. Please help!
Is it too late to contribute? I just found out about this. Chuck and Brasslab has been keeping my instruments in great playing condition for a long time.... this is a huge loss... I am having problems with two instruments now and could use Chuck's help....

Happy for the response you are getting!
