Dogs in Turkey
Due to an Uzumlu residents Claire Dalton and her husband being very vigilant, they spotted two suspicious trucks with a large number of dogs and puppies on board.
The vehicles were heading to a remote village where it gets extremely cold and no one around. These dogs were surely abandoned there to die.
Claire contacted the Uzumlu village animal charity Animal Care Uzumlu (ACU) and calls were made to local mayor and the local police.
With a fantastic show of team work, the drivers were arrested and some of the dogs found. Claire was able to take some of the puppies into her care.
it is still unsure at this stage on how these dogs are all doing to survive, but they need feeding and some medical care.
We respectfully ask for everyone’s help financially so ACU can put something in place. And eventually help can be given to local charity where the dogs came from. They were just in the process of setting up feeding stations when all the dogs were obviously rounded up.
