Save Our Charity Minibus

I am writing this on behalf of a non-profit I work with based in Tanzania. I have worked with them for many years (including organising this minibus) and confirm this is a genuine appeal. Chris
We are YAAPHA (Youth in Action Against Poverty HIV/Aids), a non-profit based in Moshi, Tanzania.
We support around 400 children to attend Primary, Secondary and High School every year. We do this by using long term sustainability programmes like growing green beans and providing transport with a minibus. This is our preferred method of funding so we can help more people and do not only rely on donations.
At the end of last year we decided to buy a second minibus to help more people. The Toyota Commuter was ordered and paid for in full, but have now been hit by a huge unexpected government tax bill of 13,000,000TSH. The problem is, the new Tanzanian government changed the rules when they came into power, among these new rules are that charities and non-profits now have to pay VAT, and the one that is the problem for us - are only allowed exclusion from import tax once every 5 years.
As we bought our first minibus in 2015 (pictured above), they will only give us a 20% reduction in the bill. If we do not pay, they will sell our minibus to pay this bill and we will get nothing. The tax bill is even more unfair because they decide what the value of the vehicle is, and they have valued it so much higher than what we paid.
We have paid for half of this tax bill but need your help to pay the other 4,800,000TSH (£1600)
We need your help to pay this before the minibus arrives in the country next month. Any help is much appreciated so that we can continue to help these children. Anyone who helps can expect a free ride!
