Save a child.

Kasper's Fund will improve and save the lives of 200 orphaned children in Burma.

By giving the orphans' extended families support, these children can live safely with those they know and trust. MATCHED funding provides:
- schooling,
- food and
- clothing to the children,
- plus additional training to their foster parents.

The cost to support one child for one year is approx $50.
(325 Sek for our Swedish friends)

We have selected the Chinland Development & Research Society ( www.cdrs.se) as our charity because funds donated are used to provide strong family support, education and even local training for environmentally sustainable farming.

These are the values we wanted to share with Kasper and the world. So this fund will keep our dream of Kasper alive.

Currently, CDRS supports over 1,000 children who receive support in their homes, foster care and schools.

The cost to support one child for one year is only $50.

A simple $5 donation supports one orphan for one month!

Again, this small donation provides schooling, food and clothing within a family for an entire year! We know the importance of family and praise this mission.

***We have decided that we wish to raise an additional $9,000 in Memory of Kasper.***
(65,500 kronor) (In 2012 we raised $20,000)

This will support an ADDITIONAL 10 kids for 18 years!

We will personally match funding for the first 5 years.

In the past, this organizations efforts have been increased by SIDA and others - outside additional funding providing 90% of the total expenses. With our efforts, this means our donations to help 20 orphans will be magnified to 200 orphans!!!

This is REAL change in the world. Kasper's Fund will make a real long-term impact on hundreds - even thousands - of lives!

*******************
You asked us again and again, "Is there anything I can do?"
Yes! You can sponsor orphans in Kasper's Memory.

*******************

Of course, you can are welcome to give ANY amount that you can...nothing is too small nor too large.

Change the life of a child and you change the world.

Thank you! for keeping our beautiful dream of Kasper alive!

Please SHARE this story with EVERYONE. It means so much to us... And we know there are other families out there that it will touch.

imprint on this world or in our hearts...

Our Story...
Kasper came into our world on 6 November 2012 and left us on 14 November 2012. During his short visit, he changed our lives forever. Wow we did it! And more!! We raised much more money than we could imagine and this have had an fundamental impact on the project we supported.

Here is the final report on how the money resulting from the first fundraising for “Kasper’s Fund” was used in Burma with the organization CDRS – Chinland Development and Research Society.

WE now do it a second time - KEEP giving. Orphans in Burma are thanking you with their hearts for your support!

A total of 435 kids living in foster families have received support through the funds we raised in memory of Kasper Nordström (06.11.2012 – 14.11.2012). The families live in three different parts of the Chin State in Burma.

Region
* Northern Chin, 51,100 SEK, 171 children
* Southern Chin, 42,800 SEK, 139 children
* Kalay Gangaw, 35,700 SEK, 125 children
-----------------------------------------------------
Total 130,000 SEK / $20,000 435 children

CDRS conducts extensive development cooperation in Chin state. It began with the care and education of orphans and other vulnerable children. Currently, more than 900 children in foster care or living in their own home receive health and food support and the opportunity to attend school. Specific program is for girls' secondary education. The program also includes vocational training for women, training for foster parents and special training in gender issues.

** With grateful thanks to everyone who supported us in this hard time of life and filled other children’s lives with more hope. **

This article came out last week regarding our son and our grieving process. For all of you who have supported us during this past year and half, thank you! We continue to receive donations for the children in Burma. It is a warm feeling to take this sadness and grow some love and safety for another child. Thank you.

It is one year since Kasper's birth. It is hard to "celebrate" as he died 8 days later. Help his short life to somehow help others. We created this fund to help orphaned Burmese children live in a family atmosphere...hopefully to be surrounded by love and hope. The world so desperately needs that. Please support by making a donation this year. Thank you. JoEllen, Jonas, Astrid, Gunnar, Ragna and Sigrid

Thank you so much! Today we must finalize the funeral plans, meet with the investigator for Kasper's forensic autopsy, and organize the small details for Kasper's coffin. Such heavy tasks...but seeing this here! Seeing that people are willing to tangibly assist in his memory - it's beautiful. And I am crying tears of joy today!
