NOTE: After raising over $10,000, including what is reflected here, we have suspended this fundraiser for the time being. We have engaged an attorney, and have been evaluating our legal options. More to come later on this matter! In the meantime, hold your donations until we identify a path forward.
If you love Old Rocky or the cherished open space around it, including the pristine and uncluttered ridgeline it sits on, the expansive views from the summit, or the clear views of it from north Vacaville, help us preserve it! We are raising money in its legal defense, to protect it from the imminent threat of a radio tower, and long-term, from any telecommunication or other development on its summit. We will use the funds to support legal action in its defense and to study and evaluate alternatives to the City proposed radio tower.
We have set our initial goal of $15,000 by the end of November to augment funds we have already acquired and put to work in Old Rocky's defense. We will adjust financial needs and schedule as we get further along.
