Help Me Kick Stage 4 Cancer's Ass!

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Edward (Eddy), Rodriguez. I am a United States Army Veteran (82 Airborne).
I am a hardworking father, son, brother, and trusted a friend to many. I am perfectly imperfect. In 2006 at 48 y/o I suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. My (Ex) wife was told by the Doctors “Call the family he’s dead tonight”. I used laughter therapy and other alternative methods to heal myself.

From that, I learned that I am a miracle and was gifted another chance at life. In the healing process, I decided that I wanted to spread happiness and smiles to as people as possible. In my heart, this was a huge part of my healing process. I became a nut for the smile. I began to create big events to celebrate happiness and smiles. 2010 I gathered 350 people to break an (unofficial) World Record for most people smiling and waving simultaneously for three minutes at my event “Happiness in the Park”.

Then 2011 I put my heart all in and walked 2,000 miles from Deerfield Beach FL. to Manhattan N.Y. Why? I wanted to prove that people are inherently good but what I found is the people are so much more than that! They helped me to create something I could have never created on my own. You can find more details on my website: http://10MillionSmilesWorldTour.com

Yes, dreams do come true! I left home with $200 in my pocket and a dream. I was never lost for a meal or a place to sleep, not in the entire 277 days of this journey. When I returned home to FL I still had $200 in my pocket. I was encouraged to write a book to share my story with the world. The book is named “10 Million Smiles from FL to NY”. It's a great and interesting read and is available at Amazon Books, for Kindle and my website:  Http://10MillionSmilesWorldTour.com

($5 from each sale is donated to The American Cancer Society.)

My Challange
In 2014 I was diagnosed with colon cancer. I was told by my doctors that surgery would be performed to remove 6” of my colon. After my recovery, I learned that two feet of my colon had been removed. The positivity of the surgery was that that cancer was eradicated from my body, and a little humor, ('I became less of an “Ass Hole” :-) The good news is that I kicked cancers butt. I'm still alive!

The Gruge Match 2
Eddy vs Cancer
I float like a butterfly sting like a bee, look out cancer cuz I won't let you be!

It's the white spot, top left on my lung about the size of a golf ball.

In late 2016 I was diagnosed with pneumonia. 100 days later I had follow-up x-rays. Last x-ray this past June 2017 showed a Golf ball sized spot on my left lung. The doctor was very honest and direct as she told me 'Eddy, it could be scar tissue or it could be cancer'. Biopsy and PET scan proved it is cancer that metastasized from my colon to my lung. I am now Stage 4.

Why “Go Fund Me”?
From my heart, I am asking for your help. I already know the power of the people and together we will “Kick cancer’s ass”!!! My doctors at the VA Hospital are suggesting surgery followed by chemo and radiation. I absolutely do not want to resort to chemo and radiation. My body has been through enough.

I can't afford to kill any more of the healthy cells in my body. I have been looking into alternative treatments, which worked for me before, to wipe this cancer out through proper diet (which I have already begun), hyperbolic chamber therapy, vitamin C infusions, and much more, none of which are covered by the VA. Alternative medicine has been proven to work in very many cases to eradicate cancer from the body.

Yes, it’s pricey but, my work is far from over! I have so many more smiles to spread, lectures to give, and support to offer.

If you feel that pull in your heart to help me continue my journey, please make a donation to my Go Fund Me page. Every bit counts. Many thanks. Without life, my tour cannot go on. Sending you a 'smile and a wave'. Sincerely, Eddy Rodriguez :-)
