Save Morgan County Observatory

Morgan County Observatory https://nitesky.org  is being given away to a nearby church by the Board of Education instead of being given to the Morgan County Observatory Foundation, which raised all funds and built the facility.  All efforts to negotiate with the church and the Board of Education have failed.  We now must resort to enjoining legal counsel to protect the rights of the Foundation and ensure the continued operations of the observatory into the future.  $2,500.00 is needed to cover current legal costs which have been used to retain counsel since time is of the essence as the property transfer is imminent.  People may call or write our School Board in support of our efforts to gain ownership of the facility we have built and operated for the last 20 years.  Ownership is critical to adding water and ADA restrooms to our facility.  Funding and visitors have been limited by our lack of restrooms.  Thank you for your support
