Save me from the KKK

On my birthday, in May of this year I began receiving death threats because of my work to create the equity and great American dream that is promised to us as citizens of this country.   My help with creating a movement of civil protest to change how people are treated has left me as a target for people that have assured me they will kill me and my family.   Since, I have lived here I am a member of the Legal Aid Board, Poor People Campaign and other civic minded organizations. Other’s have called me names and told me that African-Americans are not welcome in Somerset county but I was raised to do my best for my community.   Now, however I must think of my family first and move to a place where I will be safe.   The money raised will go to moving expenses and set up of our new life.
