The unexpected happened on August 15th – our parent organization was acquired, which resulted in an immediate and significant loss funding for Loveworks. We need your help to guarantee the future of this organization that has changed the lives of so many! Why Save Loveworks? 

Because at the Loveworks Center, we hear these words all the time.

“Sure wish I had this when I was in middle school”

From business owners, professionals, parents, and college students who are our mentors. Adults who believe in us and volunteer their time, expertise, and skill sets to see us achieve our dreams.

Because dreams matter.
And many times you don’t know how precious one is until it is lost.

That is what we have come to understand when they tell us that they wish there was a Loveworks when they were younger, because they might have not lost so much time trying to discover their passion or got caught up in what people said they could or could not do or would have known the next steps towards their career interest.

That’s why they serve, next to us, for us, surrounding us with hope and challenging us that no one else can choose to live intentional.

This is why we need Loveworks.

Every week hundreds of us come to the Loveworks Center, pulling up in a yellow bus after school. And when we step off, dozens of high fives and cheering mentors greet us at the door instead of bullies. We smell a home cooked dinner prepared by chefs and look forward to “family dinner” around the table. We can come here for leadership lessons and experiential learning, instead of playing video games just to pass the time.

We are taught about how to live and lead our lives in an atmosphere charged with the belief that every student can become a leader.

Even me.

That’s why I know that my mentor really listens when I talk. We laugh at the big dreams and ideas that come out of a creative space sometimes I don’t know I even have inside me. When my guard is down, my confidence rises up. And the voice within me becomes louder than the one that said I won’t amount to much.

I have learned that I have a dream inside me that matters.

I now know that I want to make a difference. In my school, my house, our city… somewhere on this planet I have a gift to give. Please don’t look at me as a 14 year old or sophomore in high school, but as a young leader who wants to do the right thing even when no one is looking.

For all of the students and mentors, this is our safe place, where dreaming and doing collides. This is Loveworks.  



Loveworks Leadership, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to helping middle school students discover their potential and live into their dreams.

Since our inception in 2011, we have reached over 10,000 students, ages 11-14 years old from a wide range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Our programs are designed to empower the creativity, resourcefulness, and potential within each student in an effort to develop their character, academic, and leadership abilities to ensure future success. Hundreds of volunteers and community professionals help facilitate initiatives that include: experiential leadership projects, community outreach, personal character development, career components, and mentorship.
