Save Hemingway Service Dog

Today my husband's service dog (Hemingway) was in a accident. He is very hurt and has broken his jaw in 2 places. He needs to have surgery right now! Our local vet thought they could fix it, but after further x-rays determined his injuries are far more serious and told us he needs to be taken to a vet hospital 3 hours from our home. They gave us a price quote over the phone just now of at least $5000. I am afraid we will have to put him down if we can't come up with this money. We will lose our dear friend and my husband will lose his service dog who helps him with balance so he can keep from falling due to multiple hip surgeries. I'm not sure if this Go Fund Me is too little too late. But I have to try.
