Save Children of Zravia

Zravia is a small village located in South East of Mauritania in the province of Amourj. This year, the area was hit by a severe draught. Several months ago the men in the village moved with their animals to the neighboring country of Mali in sake of pastures. Children and their mothers remained in the village. Few days ago a medical team visited the village and from the regional hospital. They found tens of children and women have died from malnutrition and severe dehydration. Others are starving and in critical conditions. The government intervention was very limited and tens of children are still in immediate need for food, and potable water. Basma w Amal ( Smile and Hope) is a well-known very active NGO in Mauritania that already shipped two semi-trucks with hundreds of tons of critically needed food to Zravia.  All proceedings of this campaign will be managed through this NGO. The initial goal is to collect 7,000 USD to build a traditional bakery in the village. This was based on an analysis of needs conducted by Basma w Amal  and feedback from the local residents:
- 3000 USD to build the bakery

-2000 USD for equipment’s and

- 2000 USD for raw materials.   The revenue of this bakery will go toward a trust that will fund other projects in the village, also it will provide employment and training for several people in the village. Bread at deeply discounted price is also the best way to fight hunger in the village.

الزرافية هي قرية صغيرة تقع في مقاطعة أمرج بالجنوب الشرقي من موريتانيا. عانت هذه المنطقة من جفاف حاد نتيجة لضعف نسبة الأمطار في موسم الأمطار الماضي، معظم الرجال نزحوا بمواشيهم للمراعي في دولة مالي المجاورة وبقي الأطفال والنساء في القرى.
قبل أيام وخلال زيارة لفريق طبي من نقطة عدل بكرو الصحية، اكتشف الفريق حالات سوء تغذية حادة و جفاف يؤدي لإسهال ثم الوفاة، لحد الآن و حسب شهود عيان فإن عشرة أشخاص على الأقل لقو حتفهم. هذه الحملة تهدف لمساعدة معدمي قرية الزرافيةبمساعدة مؤسسة بسمة و أمل الرائدة في العمل الخيري في موريتانيا.  تهدف هذه الحملة لبناء مخبزة بلدية و توفير المواد الأساسية لصناعة الخبز لأطفال المنطقة، اختيار مخبزة كان بناء على دراسة قامت بها بسمة و أمل لاحتياجات القرية و كانت أهم مطالب السكان. ستبقى هذه المخبزة وقفا للقرية و ستوفر عملا لبعض سكان القرية و القرى المجاورة،  كما أنها ستوفر خبزا بسعر مخفض جدا للسكان.
إن حصلنا على هذا المبلغ سيكون باستطاعتنا تغيير حياة أهالي هذه المنطقة المنكوبة إلى الأبد، ليس فقط بتوفير الغذاء بل فرص عمل و أمل للسكان.
لا يستحق طفل في عام 2018 أن يموت جوعا، ساعد بقدر استطاعتك بإنقاذ أطفال و نساء الزرافيات اليوم، أي مبلغ أي كان سيساعد في الوصول لهدف الحملة. شكرا وجزاكم الله خيرا.
