Help save Maasai girls from the brutality of FGM

Donation protected

Thank you for taking the interest in our project.

Right now in a small Kenyan village there are 26 Maasai girls between the ages of 12-15 years old who will be facing forced female genital mutilation (FGM).  This is going to happen in December 2019 unless we can, with your help, prevent this mutilation.

Since 2017 our project has been sponsoring the education of Maasai girls.  With the help of our efforts they are still currently in school and thriving and this has kept them safe from FGM.  Through this experience we have learned that parents are willing to allow their daughters to go to school as opposed to having “the cut” and being forced into early marriage. These parents are happy to learn that their daughters can become positive role models in their community when their children gain the skills and confidence that comes with a good education.

We’ve been offered a $10,000 matching grant for our project!  So once our fundraising hits $10k, well have reached $20,000!!!  (Financial break down below)

If we are not able to help these girls, they will certainly be forced into this brutal procedure.  The effects of which include not only disfigurement and emotional trauma but it has also led to serious life long health issues such as trouble urinating and menstruating, birthing complications, chronic pain, infectious diseases, and fatalities…Many girls do not survive this mutilation.

We are committed to financial transparency. Below is a breakdown of our budget for one year.

Your donations will be directly changing 36 lives.

We'll post updates with the amount raised outside of this GoFundMe me so that people can see how close we're actually getting to our goal on the website.

It's a crazy time in the world right now.  There's a lot going on, making it hard to decide which causes to get involved in.  I believe this is a good one because these girls are in immediate danger and we have the ability to stop it and give them a shot at creating a better life for themselves.
