Jean Paul Sartre's "No Exit" in L.A

Donation protected
The production company, Real Art Daily Productions, is getting off the ground with it's first theatrical production in Los Angeles, Jean Paul Sartré's "No Exit". Written in 1944.

"No Exit" has not been produced in Los Angeles since in 2014.  This existentialist One-Act was Sartré's, most popular play and is an important social commentary for our current times.

This production is intended to pay tribute to Sartré and bring fine art in the form of theatre to Los Angeles.  It's also meant to provide educational opportunities to the community through pre-performance talks by guest speakers who are Sartre experts for four of the *performances (see * before dates below for performances with pre-show talks).

The play has been cast with superb local talent.
Inez Serrano - played by Georginna Feyst
Vincent Cradeau - played by Adam Slemon
Estelle DeLauney - played by Brittany Lewis
Bellboy - played by Marcin Mesa

The Performance dates are four consecutive weekends opening March 16, 2018.
March 16, *17, 18 and
March *23, 24, 25 and
March 30, 31, April 1 and
April *6, 7, *8.

The Venue. The Chromolume Theatre on Washington Blvd, just east of the Culver City Arts District, is a charming 49 seat theatre in mid-city Los Angeles with a specially designed wheelchair space in the front row and  handi-capped parking spaces in a lot in the front.

Ye'ela Rosenfeld, an award-winning Director, has a deep understanding of Existentialism, Sartré, and the importance of this play as a social commentary.  Her strong artistic vision will breathe new life into this 80 year-old piece of classic art  with fresh perspective and a healthy dose of comedy.

Campaign funds are needed to cover production costs, including but not limited to: rental costs for the venue, licensing rights of the play, marketing materials and printing costs, the materials and labor to build the set, some wardrobe, props etc.   The funds will also pay to hire key players in the production: the director, production manager/stage manager, publicist, etc.

We have extended the Run from a 2-week run to a 4-week run.  This Art is too good for people to miss and we want to expose it to as many people as possible.  As a result, the production costs have escalated and your contributions to this crowdfunding campaign are essential.

Although we have been very frugal with spending, production costs have already exceeded $8,000. The base costs of theatre rental, Director, production manager and  rights to the play alone are $7.1k.

We are grateful for all contributions!  From $5 and up.  Your  contribution will allow Sartre's great work to complete its run successfully in Los Angeles for the first time in 4 years, and will assist Real Art Daily Productions to launch their first production

This production is a gem that brings a completely fresh artistic voice and vision to this classic play that is loved and revered by so many.

As the CEO of Real Art Daily Productions, I feel honored to produce and act in the brilliant existentialist play "No Exit".   I fell in love with this play, when I played the role of Inéz for a showcase in Theatre Conservatory in 2009 and I've had the desire and vision to produce it (and act in it) ever since.

I am committed to creating positive change through great art, theatre, film/TV.  Real Art Daily Productions has been created as a vehicle to move that goal forward through film and theatre productions.

"No Exit" was chosen as our company’s first production, because I believe Sartre's message is crucial for us at this time. Our country is drastically divided over ideology. If we all could realize what Estelle, Cradeau, and Inèz come to understand at the end of this play, that our empty rituals, destructive beliefs, and projections upon each other are what's causing the agony of our current situation, and if we could see the ridiculousness of our minds and accept ourselves and each other as we are, we could potentially heal the rift that has seized our nation and experience a more peaceful existence. This project is the kick-off project for Real Art Daily Productions and also serves as an opportunity to honor Jean-Paul Sartre and his most famous theatre work.

Please contribute to this important art project and social-commentary and be an active part of our production.  We have a higher certainty of achieving our fundraising goal if you share this with your friends, family and social networks and capture the power of crowdfunding and social media.

We have implemented a contribution structure with acknowlegements and benefits as noted by the campaign.

We are extremely grateful for any contributions you feel moved to make and assistance in spreading the word!

Thank you very much!
Georginna
