Gabbie's Surgery to Save Her Life - SAR K9

Gabbie, a Search and Rescue K9, needs surgery to save her life. She cannot open her mouth to eat or pant; she is just 3 years old. Without this surgery she will soon starve (she is being tube fed currently). We do not know the cause of the issue and the surgery is estimated to cost $5,000 to $10,000. Our insurance does not cover this surgery and we refuse to have her put down. Gabbie is a Search and Rescue K9 with Southeastern Search and Rescue; a Volunteer Non-profit Rescue Squad with the Alabama Association of Rescue Squads. She is trained to locate missing children, teenagers, hikers, adults, the mentally ill and seniors. She is no longer able to eat because her jaw is locked shut and she can't open it. We do not know why, the vet thinks the jaw bone has fused together; X-rays don't show much and CAT scans are next but are expensive. Her surgery has to be done at a specialty vet in Atlanta; our insurance does not cover this surgery and it may cost $5,000 to $10,000...
