She was diagnosed with CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) in 2016, 3 days after Christmas. Despite suffering frequent illnesses from the reduced immunity, she has been able to live a relatively normal life - until now. Unfortunately her condition took a turn for the worse earlier this year and she became much sicker. After visiting a Seattle specialist, she just started chemotherapy which will last 19 months. She is already extremely fatigued, nauseated, and in pain - and is still trying to work part-time through the chemo just to make ends meet. She is so ill that may not be an option for long.
The medical bills are starting to pile up, and Sara and Kristopher are struggling. Suddenly, the costs of daily living like utility bills, gas, and groceries are a strain on what will soon be a single income.
