Sarah's Ventura, CA House Fire
On Monday, December 4th, Sarah was forced to evacuate her newly purchased home in Ventura California with her beloved dog, Barkley. The home had been previously owned by her grandparents since 1975. Sarah bought the property in September of this year. To say this house held some nostalgic memories would be a grand understatement.
On Tuesday the house suffered a devasting fire. The wind-driven Thomas Fire exploded to 55,000 acres - or 70 square miles - with zero percent containment by Tuesday afternoon, destroying at least 150 structures, according to Ventura County fire officials. One of those structures was her home.
Thankfully she is safe and uninjured, but Sarah lost nearly everything in this tragic fire. She is fortunate to have some insurance, but many items cannot be replaced. She is literally starting from scratch with nothing but the clothes on her back.
Sarah is an adored nurse, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, and friend to so many. As we enter the holiday season let's come together to support this amazing R.N. in whatever way we can!
Please help us raise funds to allow her to get her life and belongings back together ASAP. Every little bit helps. Let's get her back on her feet as soon as possible. Please share this GoFundMe page with your friends and contacts.
