So, i am requesting to contribute some more money for further requirements and to support his family.

Thanks to each and everyone one last time. He used to very thankful for each and every donor.

This is my Story..!
I am "Santosh Tankala" studying Masters in Computer Science in Cleveland State University. I am 26 and suffering from Metastatic rectal cancer. I am one of many Indians who came to USA with a dream of becoming a Computer Scientist, but destiny had some other plans for me.

It was in Mid June 2015, I started experiencing extreme changes in bowel habits. I was not able to concentrate on my studies. I was suffering from diarrhea, constipation and was always tired and had extreme weight loss for no known reason. After multiple checkup's with doctor and a 100 pills into my stomach, the problem is not yet solved. I was recommended to "Cleveland Clinic" a Super Speciality Hospital in Cleveland.

It was in mid october on one morning I had my Colonoscopy and the doctor took some samples for the test. At 8PM on the same day my surgeon requested for MRI, CT scans. The Judgemental Day has arrived and my phone rang, the call from doctor.I picked my phone.

Surgeon: "Hello Santosh!, How are you doing ?,
Me: Hi Doctor, I am doing good.
Surgeon: Are you having any pain now ?
Me: Little Pain is there, but it's manageable.
Surgeon: Okay, As I said I took few of the biopses while having colonoscopy for you, I have received the reports and the results of CT scan and MRI scan.  Unfortunately, “It is rectal cancer”.

There was deep silence.

Surgeon: I know it's a tough news, but you are at the right place, we have got the best doctors for rectal cancer treatment here at Cleveland Clinic.

To be frank, I don't know what's happening to me. I was feeling like it's a bad dream and I still need to wake up.

I realized it's not a dream and I immediately discussed with one of my friends. He gave a very good support saying that "we are there with you and you don't worry."
I was thinking on How to inform this to "My Family".

I informed my brother and he started crying. Immediately tears rolled down my eyes, It's the first time I cried because of this reason and later there are many such instances but finally I decided to be mentally strong.

My parents came to know about the news and my family was completely broken down. I decided to fight not for me but for my “life-givers”.

Doctors started my treatment from Mid November and I already got my first chemotherapy. It was extremely painful for the first 5 days. I was not able to talk, eat or drink because of the mouth sores. I felt nausea, fatigue and was bed ridden for few days after the first treatment. Since, I am in my final stage of cancer doctors had to place artificial openings (stoma) which are made for stool to flow from the body to a collection bag.

Chemotherapy is a treatment of Luck, we cannot say when the tumor can shrink.
I might need MANY sittings of chemotherapy and a surgery later to get my cancer treated. The cost of each sitting is $1,500 approx. after all settlements.

A lot of expences started mounting up viz, Living Expences (Rent, Food) for me and my family supporting me here, Medical Expences, Travel Expences and many which sums up to a very huge amount which is not bearable by an Indian Middle Class family.

Please help me in my battle on cancer with your graceful donations so that I can live and breathe like a normal human being again.

God bless u!!!

I am writing this on "Dec 16th, 2015". Today happened to be my Birthday. On this day I have taken My Birthday RESOLUTION.
