Santa's Bike Force - 14th Year

OK…take a deep breath…slow down from the hectic Holiday “Busy Ness” and think back…way back.
Remember getting your first bike?
Remember how shiny and new it was?
Remember the feelings you had for the person who gave it to you…the loved one who put it together for you…taught you how to ride?
Remember your first taste of freedom as you wobbled down the driveway for the first time…training wheels and streamers and all?
My first bike…what a wonderful, happy day!
Just an idea?
What if…
You and everyone on your email list or Facebook page or Tweeters bought a child their first bike this Holiday Season…a child that most likely would not get one this year…whether you know the child…whether the child is a stranger…doesn’t matter.
What if…
You ordered a bike on-line and had it delivered to a needy neighbor?
What if…
Your social club…your cul-de-sac…your place of worship organized a last minute bike drive?
What kind of difference could we make this Season?
Excuses…plenty…
It’s last minute…I’m not organized…that takes work…so what?
Make it happen anyway!
It’s a lot of money…I’ve spent too much already…so what…the smile on the kid’s face will be worth it.

It’s a pain to get to the bike store…don’t you know how much traffic we have in our town…don’t you know how crazy people are in the stores this time of year…and the lines…so what…it’s a lifetime memory for some great kid.

Rules of the Game
There are no rules…do it anonymously…do it publicly…do it with your company…do it by yourself…buy one…buy 10…buy 1,000…doesn’t matter…just consider the idea of spreading this idea to everyone you know. Invite them to do the same…this is going to be fun.
2017 has been another wonderful and prosperous year…and we are going to celebrate it with a trip to the bike store…I invite you to join us for the fun.
This is our 14th year and it get’s bigger and bigger every year.
This year we are aligning once again with The GLBT Center of Central Florida , an amazing organization that offers a full range of services throughout central Florida, including services to children and families impacted by HIV.
Thanks to The Center 100% of your donation is tax deductible. You will receive a letter from The Center for your tax purposes.
