There's a red tint in the sky as embers of my fallen hometown rain down.
Ashes from the communities cherished homes and delicate memories,
All proof of the horrific truth we all woke up to on the morning of October 8th 2017.
Northern California has become the victim of several wildfires leaving entire neighborhoods perished.

CNN news posted, confirming:
SANTA ROSA, Calif. — Fast-moving wildfires raged across several counties in Northern California on Monday, killing at least one person, forcing the evacuation of up to 20,000 people and destroying hundreds of buildings.
Firefighters are battling blazes in eight counties - Napa, Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino, Yuba, Nevada, Calaveras and Butte — officials say.
More than 100 people are being treated at Napa- and Sonoma-area hospitals for fire-related injuries or health issues including burns, smoke inhalation and shortness of breath.

-- An estimated 1,500 structures have been destroyed and 57,000 acres burned in eight counties.

As of early October 9th ch.7 news confirmed at least 10 people killed, over 1500 structures destroyed, and almost 60,000 acres burnt and continuing to flea out of control at a 0% containment.

That means hundreds of people and animals left with no food, no water, no shelter. My name is Ashley Pursell and I've lived in Napa nearly my entire life and I still have a lot of friends and family in the Santa Rosa/Napa area, today. It is devastating to see so many people, I've grown up with and grown to love, hurting and not be able to do anything about it. These are people that have played as mentors and helped me grow into the person I am today. I understand doing this won't bring back the lost homes, sentimental things, pets ect.. Lost in the fires but I'm praying using the go fund me page as a platform to help those affected might give them a little hope that everything is going to be ok. I want to show those that have been affected that they are NOT ALONE! the community stands with you all and are willing to do anything to help! Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Petaluma, ect.. All towns that hold families in need at the moment. All towns I and a group of friends intend on personally taking needed supplies to and letting all those affected know it's from the COMMUNITY! The money raised on this page will be going towards Food, water, hotel coverage, rental vehicles, clothes, ect.. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING the shelters and families within them need!! As a community it is Time to give back! Anything helps! Please share and donate!
