Blakfacts - Bringing our history to life

We have an airline ticket in hand, to return to Europe and continue our effort to uncover much of our lost history in that part of the world. What we need are the funds to pay for accommodations and travel to various parts of Germany, in particular. There's a lot of our history there that needs to be exposed. J.A. Rogers started to uncover it back in the 1920's and '30's. Now, it's time to expand on what he started and my father continued at Kent State University. I'm working to bring that history back into the limelight, so we can "do what others have done," as Marcus Garvey used to say. 

If you haven't watched the video included with this fundraising campaign watch it now and you'll get an idea of just what I'm talking about. We're all about bringing Black History to life, making it relevant to what's going on today, because it is. It's no stretch of the imagination to see what we do today will have an effect on the future. It's no stretch of the imagination to see that what our ancestors did in the past is effecting us today. The question is, what are we going to do in the present to create a great future for our children and grandchildren? What are we going to pass on to them? 

Today is a gift we call the present. We should treat it as such and use our time and our resources wisely. We're asking everyone we know to make a contribution, no matter how small, to our effort to continue bringing Black History to life, wherever we find it. One of our main goals, right now, is to return to Europe to do further research on the impact of Black History in Europe and our portrayal, in the past, the present and the future, particularly in Germany.
