Every Girl Needs A Pad, Period!
Wellington Mahohoma has dedicated a greater part of his life fighting injustices and improving the lives of marginalised communities and groups.
On the 22nd of November he will be celebrating his 35th birthday.
To celebrate this important landmark, in partnership with Women's Institute for Leadership Development (WILD) and Justice for Women Zimbabwe (JWZ), he has chosen to stand with the Girl Child in solidarity with her struggle for quality health and wellness in schools, particularly with regards to her lack of access to sanitary wear.
Wellington Mahohoma will be walking about 25 km to raise awareness on the difficulties faced by the Girl Child in accessing sanitary wear and the implications to their education. He will walk from Makoni Shopping Centre in Chitungwiza to the Parliament of Zimbabwe Building in Harare, where he will submit a petition lobbying for legislation to compel government to provide free sanitary wear in schools.
Additionally, we will be raising funds and materials to support the Girl Child in marginalised rural Zimbabwe through providing sanitary wear. Thus, Wellington Mahohoma in partnership with WILD and JWZ cordially invites you to help the Marginalised Girl Child by donating to the cause, either funds or sanitary wear and or by simply sharing this post and spreading the awareness. All the proceeds will be distributed through WILD and JWZ.
Please Come let us walk together.
