Help A Girl Out (HAGO) is a registered not-for-profit corporation in Toronto, Ontario, founded in May 2018. HAGO provides sanitary napkins and feminine hygiene products to females in need in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Period poverty is an international crisis that often goes unseen because of the stigma associated with menstruation. Our organization believes that as a community we should take steps to enforce that females have access to sanitary products despite their financial status. We aim to change the way the world sees periods. Together we can work towards making these products affordable for all women so they can feel "proudly female". HAGO is funded solely on kindness and generosity. We are currently hosting our Spring drive where we aim to raise awareness about period poverty, funds, and products to fulfill our goal of 50 bags. Our donation drives have enabled us to fill about 280 care packages for women and girls thus far in the GTA that are homeless, in shelters, or members of low-income families. Every female deserves to have access to sanitary products despite their circumstances. By donating, you will make a major difference in the lives of so many community members who are in need of help. Each bag costs about $30 to fill.
