The Sanford Center in Sioux City, Iowa will be holding their annual fundraising event on Wednesday, April 13th at the Orpheum Theater from 4:30-7:00pm.
This event is a vital part of supporting the functions of the Sanford Center. If you are unable to attend the event in person to make a donation, we encourage you to do so via this page so that we can continue the important work of this organization that gives back so much to our community.
Sanford Center: A Welcoming Place where all are served with respect and dignity
GANG OUTREACH PROGRAM
Sanford Center Outreach Specialists work with caseloads of 25-30 youngsters and are based in the Sioux City Community Schools. Youngsters are referred by school staff, juvenile probation, school administration and social health teams.
ALTERNATIVE SUSPENSION PROGRAM
The Alternative Suspension Program helps youngsters continue their education while placed on out of school suspension. Referrals are made by school administration only.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM & SUMMER PROGRAM
The After School Program provides a safe, positive place for elementary children after school. The Program features tutoring, homework assistance, game room activities, mentoring and a hot supper. The Summer Program is an eight week program for elementary children during the summer. It is designed to keep children busy all day with hands-on activities, field trips, educational classes, motivational speakers and physical activities.
Your contributions will be used to fund all of these important programs that have a very positive impact on our community today and on the lives of many children in the future.
