Sandy Davis' Medical Costs
For those of you who are lucky enough to know my mother, Sandy Davis, I'm positive that you'd have quite a list of nice things to say about her. She is the strongest, kindest, and most generous person that I know.
If you know her well or have been following her on Facebook, you may have realized that she's had complicated health issues for some time. My mom doesn't receive health insurance from her employer, therefore she is forced to purchase "Obama Care," which is such a burden due to her limited income as a restaurant server.
After years of trial and error at her doctor's appointments (including follow-ups, labs, scans, MRIs, etc.), Sandy has been left without a diagnosis of her medical condition. But even worse, she receives bills that, at times, far exceed the average car payment.
Just recently, Sandy was given a doctor's prescription to aid her difficult breathing. The script was denied by her insurance company. She currently has prescribed medications totaling over $700 per month. One script costs her $50.78 and the insurance company covers just 78 cents!
I know whole-heartedly that my mother would never in a million years ask anyone for assistance with any sort of thing, but she deserves (more than anyone else) to feel relief at this time. Sandy works so hard for so little, as you may know.
Please consider supporting her in whatever way you can.
