Give us Light at The SandLots

Our small little old-fashioned ballfield is slowly getting less run down and being brought back to life for baseball and softball players and families around Northern Georgia to enjoy!  We've come a long way in less than a year!  These fields, that we affectionately named the "The SandLots" were completely overgrown and in disrepair.  The outfields were filled with weeds taller than 8U ball players, and the infields were filled with rocks and weeds that would be an infielder’s worst nightmare for "bad hops"!  The fences had fallen over and looked like they had been through many bad storms over the past 50 years from fallen trees.  Not to mention non-working bathrooms, score boards and other issues all around the field.  These fields were sad and in need of some love, hard work and attention so that they could be brought back to life.
In the past year we've improved the outfields and mow them at least once a week, brought in new dirt for the infields, improved and added nets over the playground to stop foul balls, repaired fences, dug outs, bathrooms, and the concessions stand.
Now we've got a big expense for our next big project... to  improve the dim, low powered night time field lights in our small field.  These new lights are a substantial cost, and quite heavy.  Installing these lights will require booms and lifts and will be a big undertaking.  The lights are necessary for quality evening play and practice times on the field.  If you are liking all the improvements at the field and willing to help us make more improvements to the field, please consider donating to our Sand Lots fields.  We are aiming to raise $10,000 for the installation of these new field lights.  Every dollar helps "The SandLots" get closer to their goal.  Thank you for considering a donation.  We look forward to seeing you at our field of dreams sometime soon!
