Stock Trailer Fund for Sanctuary One

Tax deductible

Sanctuary One needs your help!
Sanctuary One was founded in 2007 to provide a refuge for animals and a healing place for people while promoting environmental stewardship. Since then we have rescued over 700 animals. At any given time, there are 50+ animals on the farm. Everyday Sanctuary One works to connect people, animals, and the earth, because we believe that together we're better.

Sanctuary One coordinates extensively with a dozen animal rescue organizations in five Western states, and 12-15 human and animal service providers locally. We serve people in both Jackson and Josephine Counties. Every year we have 25-30 monthly volunteers donate 2,500+ hours, over 150 volunteers join the farm for Volunteer Week, and even more volunteers for special projects, events and that doesn’t even begin to count the thousands of hours our service learning partners regularly donate.

Since our founding, we’ve enjoyed the use of a stock trailer from a generous neighbor. Sadly, he's moved and Sanctuary One is seeking funds to purchase a 20 to 24 ft. trailer to help more rescued animals, secure donated animal feed and hay from those who cannot transport, and much more!

In 2017, we moved 58 animals to shelters and other farms in a matter of days as a result of a wildfire evacuation notice. Without the use of a trailer, we would not be able to safely remove all the farm animals from the property in a timely manner if we experience another evacuation notice.

On average, Sanctuary One receives anywhere from $5,000 to $20,000 a year in donated animal feed and hay combined. Most farmers do not (or cannot) transport the feed and hay to the farm, but they are willing to donate items if we can pick them up. This trailer will help us accept more donations of feed and hay from local farmers and ranchers, and as a result directly contribute to helping Sanctuary One be in a better financial position and facilitate deeper community connections.

Please consider making a tax deductible donation to help Sanctuary One purchase this essential piece of equipment.
