All who know Sancha, knows how bright and beautiful and clever she is. Everyone who has the privilege to be her family member and friend know the depths of her selfless nature. She is a woman that will give all she can, be-it sacrificing financially in support of her family, or treating everyone with courtesy and respect regardless of whether the same kindness was shown to her. She is a woman of great courage and strength and has fought her hardest. Sadly, God is calling upon her to rest. She entered the ICU at Little Company of Mary on January 9th in critical condition and will not recover.
In Her Words:
December 16, 2018 I went to the emergency room for severe stomach pain. I found out I had a ruptured colon and had emergency surgery where they found my cancer. December 18, 2018, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer which spread to my liver. I spent 2 days in the ICU and 13 days in the hospital. That is when the most difficult and scariest year of my life began. I started my chemotherapy treatments in February 2019, which are ongoing. I couldn't have gotten through this year without my friends and family. I want to thank every single person who has called, sent care packages, flown hundreds of miles to see me and taken me back and forth to countless appointments. Especially the ones who have spent hours with me through my treatments. And my mom who takes care of me everyday. I'm staying positive for the next year to come and thank God for every extra day he has given me ❤
Your greatly appreciated, and much needed, contribution will help to fund all funeral expenses and assist with living and medical expenses. Sancha was living with her mother, Wanda, to help support her as Wanda suffered a knee injury and is unable to work. Sancha was never able to return to work after that day in December, 2018. As many may know, Sancha has never asked for a hand-out, never wanted to be a burden and would likely be terribly uncomfortable with this fundraiser. However, her mind and heart will be eased knowing that Wanda has the funds needed during this tragic time and that Wanda will be able to remain in the home that she has lived in for so many years.
