Sammy Schweitzer's Funeral Fund

Little Sammy Schweitzer, 11 years old, was shot by his mother early Saturday morning, February 10th., before she turned the gun on herself, Sammy passed away two days later at 5:05 a.m. Ferbraury 12th .

 We do not know why, we suspect psychiatric depression may have played a role in the shooting, because she was always a loving mother and we never witnessed any abuse, only love.  We are all struggling with the reason why.  He was always a brave, loving boy and willing to help anyone, therefore a decision was made for him to be an organ donor to Mid-America Transplant.   We want Sammy's memory to live on through saving other lives.   There is no life insurance and the family was not financially prepared when he lost his life so short and sudden.  The immediate family is left with the burden of funeral costs.  Arrangement have been made at Mahn Funeral Homes, Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., Festus Mo. 63028, phone [phone redacted].  February18th., open to the public from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and we lay him to rest on Monday, February 19th., 11 a.m.

We the family on his father's side cannot thank you enough for the love we are receiving.  Sammy saved 5 lives on Valentine's day!  FIVE lives.  We are laying Sammy to rest on Monday.  I am Sammy's uncle, married to his aunt, his Dad's sister, my brother in-law.  On Tuesday, February 20th. at 9 a.m. we will end this campaign, transfer the donation into my personal account and I personally will travel to the funeral home and write a check for expenses to be paid in full on the same day we end the campaign.  We are feeling the love and cannot thank everyone enough, but we are going to try.
