Samantha Nkauj Hnub Vang was born on July 23rd, 1999. She was a senior at Las Plumas High School of Oroville, California. Samantha was a mother's dream daughter: 4.0 GPA, active community volunteer, cheerleader, pageant contestant and an athlete. Samantha was a beautiful, bright young woman who was accepted at CSU, Chico with her whole life planned out ahead of her. Samantha was a daughter, a sister, an auntie, and a friend to those who crossed paths with her.
Tragedy struck her on Thursday, May 25th, 2017 at 7:30 P.M.
Samantha, 17, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her boyfriend, Pao Lor, 18, when the car skidded off the road and slammed into a power pole, smashing the passenger side of the car.
Pao survived the accident. Samantha died upon impact. Samantha never made it home. She was wearing a seatbelt.
Samantha will always be loved, honored and respected by her four sisters - Carrie, Adina, Janice and Julie, two brothers - Jessie and Justin, her mother - Youa Yang, and father Ger Vang.
Samantha will be greatly missed by her siblings, parents, friends and family. As some of you may know, funeral costs are unexpected and extremely expensive, no matter age or person. I set up this account to try and help my parents so they do not have to worry about the expenses

Funeral services will be held at Southside Community Center 2959 Lower Wyandotte Rd., Oroville, CA 95966 on June 3rd, 2017 - June 5th, 2017 (open 6 A.M.-24 hours until June 5 at 12 P.M.)
